Our story began when Kaylin was living in Pensacola, and Royer in Mobile. We first connected on a dating app (yes, one of the good ones!) and soon planned our first date at a wine bar on Palafox in downtown Pensacola. From the start, the connection was easy. We bonded over our shared love of good food, and Kaylin remembers thinking Royer was even more handsome in person than in his pictures (a rare win). That evening turned into something much more than a great first date—it was the beginning of a journey neither of us could have predicted. As time passed, it quickly became clear: this was it. For Kaylin, it was Royer’s patience, consistency, and gentle way of making every moment feel like home. And if you know Royer, you know just how genuinely kind and steady he is. For Royer, it was Kaylin’s warmth about her that makes everyone feel seen—and I’m lucky I get to see her every day.&nbsp; Over the last three years, we’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and just the right amount of chaos—thanks in part to our dog Ziggy and our enthusiastic love for house projects (depending on the day). We share a passion for traveling, cooking, hunting, fishing, sports, and simply being in each other’s company. The proposal? A complete surprise. On a ride through Kaylin’s family farm in Kentucky—just us, a side-by-side, and the countryside—Royer asked the easiest question Kaylin’s ever answered. Now we’re so excited to take this next step together, and even more grateful to celebrate in a small intimate ceremony and then again with all the people who’ve supported and loved us along the way.
